Tauranga City Council invites proposals for this contract for which the works/services comprise:

The role of the Tū Pakari Kai Ārahi advisor is to provide technical advice and support to SmartGrowth, that leads the facilitation, organisation and engagement for the Combined Tāngata Whenua Forum (CTWF) scheduled meetings and or workshops. The CTWF includes members from Te Kāhui Mana Whenua o Tauranga Moana and Te Ihu o te Waka o Te Arawa with the WBOPDC, and Te Rangapū Mana Whenua o Tauranga Moana with TCC. The Kai Ārahi will be supported by the Pou Ārahi, and Te Kāhui Kaunihera the SmartGrowth advisory team and Te Kāhui Kaunihera being those SmartGrowth partner Māori policy and relationship teams at TCC, WBOPDC and Toi Moana (BOPRC).
The Kai Ārahi will engage with SmartGrowth collective partner entities, committees, working groups, and lead partner organisations, technical and policy advisory teams to support the implementation of the SmartGrowth Strategy and Future Development Strategy initiatives, and actions that progress the CTWF growth, development and protection priorities within the SmartGrowth Strategy.
It is expected the Kai Ārahi will inform themselves of the wider policy and operating environment and individual partner projects to ensure they’re able to give sound advice to the Pou Ārahi, governance members of the Combined Tangata Whenua Forum, and partner organisation working groups.
