Overview

The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) invites Registrations of Interest from suppliers of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solutions within New Zealand. We are specifically seeking to engage with suppliers who are the original creators and current owners of their ERP software, as we look to establish a standards-based Common Capability approach to ERP procurement and implementation, with an initial focus on finance-related modules. The longer-term plan will be to establish an open panel of ERP solutions on Marketplace.

This initiative seeks to identify ERP systems that can align with a standards-based approach, delivering critical outcomes in consistency, accountability, and performance across the public sector. By certifying ERP systems that meet the standards, we aim to standardise processes, enhance accountability across agencies, and improve overall operational performance. This approach will also ensure data integrity, streamline compliance, and provide reliable, timely insights for decision-making, while fostering collaboration, reducing duplication, and streamlining the procurement of ERP systems.

At this stage, we are seeking to engage directly with ERP software suppliers who are the original creators and current owners of their software. We will be looking to share our intentions and plans of our approach. We understand the valuable role that resellers and system integrators (SIs) play in the broader ecosystem, and while they are not the focus of this initial engagement, their involvement will be considered in subsequent phases of this initiative.

If you are an ERP software creator or owner interested in participating and exploring the specifics of a standard-based approach, please email enterprisesupport@dia.govt.nz
